WebAug 20, 2009 · It wouldn't surprise me if using the stock D16Y8 head gasket would cause a slightly higher compression ratio if used with a D16Y8 block and D16Z6 head and it would result in a lower compression ratio if the situation was flip-flopped; D1Z6 block with D16Y8 head gasket and D16Y8 head. Either way it should physically work.
